Our home is a charming 16th century Grade II Listed house that has been in our family for 150 years. It is in a quiet lane just off the High Street at the heart of the Wealden village of Wadhurst. On road parking is available outside the house or in two nearby car parks.

This is a non-smoking house.

ROOMS
The individually decorated rooms comprise one double and one twin/large double both en-suite with hospitality trays & TV/DVD. There is also a Guest Sitting Room where you can enjoy tea and cake on arrival and generally relax. The bathrooms have baths with electric showers over, fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries.

PLACES TO VISIT
We are ideally situated for visits to many National Trust properties including Batemans, Scotney House and Gardens, Sissinghurst Gardens, Bodiam Castle, Knole, Ightham Mote and Chartwell. Also within easy reach are Hever Castle, Penshurst Place, Great Dixter, Groombridge Place, Pashley Manor Gardens and Finchcocks Musical Museum.

BEWL BRIDGE RESERVOIR
Nearby is Bewl Bridge Reservoir with its many footpaths and cycling tracks(Summer only), fishing, sailing and windsurfing and keen walkers can enjoy a cross country walk to the Reservoir from Church House. A twenty minute drive takes you either to the National Pinetum at Bedgebury where you can walk and cycle or to Ashdown Forest, a heathland, which is criss-crossed with footpaths( no cycling). For those who want to bring cycles we offer secure undercover storage.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS
Wadhurst is just seven miles from the spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells, with its historic Pantiles, excellent shopping and leisure facilities, one hour by train from London, one hour by car from Gatwick Airport and 45 minutes from Hastings and Eastbourne. Eurotunnel and the Port of Dover are very easily accessible.
